The summer heat is unbearable, and our little furballs feel it too! 🌞🐹
Imagine turning into a "roasted hamster"—yeah, that’s how they feel when overheating!

⚠️ Warning Signs of Heatstroke in Hamsters

👀 Primary Check:

  • A hamster's normal body temperature is around 37~38°C. If it feels too hot, be cautious!

👀 Secondary Symptoms:
🔥 Aggressive or restless behavior – Your hamster seems unusually irritable.
🤤 Excessive drooling – Their mouth feels wet.
🥱 Lethargy & lack of appetite – Not eating or drinking, just lying there exhausted.

If your hamster shows any of these signs, act quickly! 🚨

🏥 Emergency Cooling Steps (Vet-Recommended) 🚑

1️⃣ Alcohol Wipe Method – Lightly dilute alcohol and gently wipe the hamster’s neck and belly. Stop once the body is no longer burning hot.
2️⃣ Cooling Airflow – Use a fan on low setting or manually fan your hamster for a few minutes. Be careful not to overcool them!

⚠️ After Cooling Down: Make sure they stay warm to avoid sudden temperature loss.
⚠️ If your hamster remains unconscious—rush to the vet immediately! 🚑

💧 Recovery Care for the Next Few Days

Provide electrolyte water to help with hydration.
Monitor their food & water intake carefully.
Check urine output – If it decreases significantly, see a vet ASAP.

💡 Prevention Tip: Always keep your hamster in a cool, well-ventilated area to avoid heatstroke! 🏡❄️
